Plasterboard is another item that we do not allow in our skips with Mixed Waste.

Plasterboard must be kept separate from other waste, either in its own skip, or in a plasterboard
skip bag.

Do not try to hide prohibited items in the middle or bottom of the skip. Skips are emptied after collection at a licensed waste transfer station so that waste can be separated and recycled. Prohibited items will be found and you will be asked to pay an additional disposal fee, you could even be fined by the council if this is an illegally disposed of item.

You are responsible for all the waste inside your skip bin when it is collected, so be mindful of unwanted additions to your skip when placing an open skip in a publicly accessible area. This could be costly to you with additional charges and fees.
